Belle Update: August 7
If I'm her anchor then she is the sail that pushes me forward.
Together we both braved the storm. We withstood. And now comes the calm...
We were actually reclining quite a bit in the above photo (it's a deceiving angle). So don't worry, dad's got her! Belle was absolutely protected against leaning or falling forward.
Arabella was going after her tube and oxygen this morning so we had to restrain her hands under the blanket.
She really needs those gloves on at all times.
We have to watch her very closely when the gloves come off. Not only does she yank her tubes, but we've seen her scratch and poke herself countless times.
This could potentially be our last week in the hospital. There's a lot going on, and lots of things to be mindful about.
We're making a list and checking it twice.
And Belle has been incredibly nice.
This little girl has no idea what's in store this week, and Kiera and I can't wait to step through that front door with her. It'll be quite the homecoming.
We have most of her things set up and ready back at home, and this final week will be the last push for finishing touches.
Belle took a whopping 52mL (out of 65mL) from her bottle at 9pm. Dad was very impressed. It seems like mom has the magic touch when it comes to Arabella's bottle feeding.
"Great job Belle!"
We all had a fantastic day.
