A whole new world

Did I mention how great it feels to be home? Let me say it one more time. It feels absolutely fantastic to be home!!!

"A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view. No one to tell us no, or where to go, or say we're only dreaming..."

It truly is a whole new world for all of us, and today happened to be an awesome day.

Today's post is another day in pictures...

Arabella enjoyed tummy time this afternoon as she watched herself wiggle and worm.

Tummy time is exhausting, isn't it? A quick nap in her bouncer chair should do the trick. "Shhh sleep baby, sleep."

And we're back to fun and games.

"Dad, read me some of those Critter stories you used to read when you were a little boy", said Belle.

"You got it babe. This one is called 'When I Get Bigger'. It feels like you're already so much bigger!" said dad.

Arabella's latest weight came to 4.1kg (9 pounds). Oh, baby! It's incredible...

Time for some fun on the activity mat (yet another great gift that Arabella received).

"Thank you everyone for all the beautiful gifts you've given me over the months!"

We're so thankful for everyone's unrelenting generosity.

Time for another nap. Sometimes her naps are 5 minutes long, and other times she can nap for hours and hours. You never know which type of sleepy Bella you're going to get - or how much time she'll give you 😊

Meanwhile, mom prepares a large batch of food for the next 24 hours (breast milk with a preemie fortifier recommended by the dietitian).

Belle threw up some milk onto her onesie following her 3pm feed so it was time for a change-up.

No worries, though. We just continued playing on the activity mat...

"How about a little more tummy time?" asked dad.
"Arabella please don't lick the blanket" 😄

Later, Kiera and I played back some of Arabella's old videos. It was like stepping into a time machine.

Bella watched herself on the big screen, too, and we noticed her reacting to some of the noises (and voices) in the videos. Do you think she could develop post traumatic stress disorder? Or would that only affect mom and dad? 😄

She still loves that soother of hers...

But we're slowly introducing her to teething toys. We've noticed her chewing a lot more on her hands lately. It's about that time soon!

So many new and exciting milestones coming our way...

And Arabella continues to make big strides forward.

She's such a big girl!

A respiratory therapist came over to our house today to check on Bella, and while he was here he gave us extra tube extensions (for her oxygen). We now have over 30 feet of slack, so we can easily take Belle up the stairs and into the bedrooms.

Kiera and I had a good chuckle at this. She's such a tiny thing in comparison to that king size bed. "It's all yours Belle! Good luck trying to roll off!"

We were getting her bath ready for her in the meantime.

There's nothing like bath night.

She's always so calm in the water. Bella is going to love swimming with dad in the lake when she's older.

I can't wait 💗

She makes some great pouty faces, doesn't she?

She's only ever unhappy after the bath (and sometimes in the early morning).

Speaking of early mornings, Belle slept soundly until 5am. She's such a fantastic baby. She's so easy, she's so calm, and we're still in disbelief that she's home with us.

We love our entire new world right now 💗
