Belle Update: Mar 9

Baby Belle seems to be doing well today after the first two doses of medication. She's weighing in at 740 grams.

Grow baby, grow!

The meds are being given to her every 12 hours (yesterday we thought it would be every 24 hours). So by tomorrow she'll have completed the 2nd round of treatment for her open artery. She may require a 3rd treatment in the near future. Time will tell.

A heart echo will be done tomorrow, but so far she still has a very loud murmur. It's going to take some time for this pesky artery to finally close (or at least get small enough to be manageable).

Like they always say in the NICU: one day at a time.
In a few days Arabella will be three weeks old. She would have been only 31 weeks in the womb at this point. It's difficult to imagine that now.

I can't believe time is going by so quickly. Everyday Belle is growing just a touch, but week-to-week you can really start to see the growth. She's still a tiny little tinkerbell but she looks more rounded and fuller compared to week one.

It's been a roller-coaster of a ride so far but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Being close to Belle, and seeing her so often has been the best thing for us.

We're in debt to everyone who has helped us financially, spiritually and emotionally.

We will never forget this. God bless you all.
